THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS WILL WORK IN COOPERATION IN OPENING NEW WAYS FOR THE EXPORT OF MONGOLIAN CASHMERE
A business meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the registration of cashmere products with Geographical Indications (GI), the economic partnership agreement between Mongolia and the Republic of Korea, and foreign measures.
In the meeting, Ulziisaikhan.G, director of the foreign sales and economy collaboration department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zolzaya.D, vice director, Enkhbold.V, advisor and Altantsetseg.D, executive director of Mongolian wool and cashmere association participated.
During the meeting, the Executive Director of the Mongolian Wool Cashmere Association Altantsetseg.D informed about the issue of registration of the Geographical Indications and Trademark documents with the Intellectual Property Office, which aims to create the characteristics, identification and distinction of Mongolian cashmere, and exchanged views on the future work.
Also, cooperation in registration of Geographical Indications /GI/ in the European Union, special participation of the cashmere industry in the foreign visit of the President of Mongolia, opening of new export products through the embassy, working in the Working Group on Rules of Origin with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, therefore discussed many issues such as conducting training for customs inspectors on the origin, type, production, quality and standard certification of wool and cashmere products for export.
