TO COOPERATE WITH WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE AUTHORITY
Normal operations of wool and cashmere processing factories were hindered significantly in 2020 due to water supply cut-off to wool and cashmere plants because of pollution of the Ulaanbaatar city’s central waste water treatment plant.
Therefore, a work plan was developed in cooperation with Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association and the Water Supply and Sewerage Authority to monitor water supply of cashmere and wool processing plants.
Practical measures will be taken within framework of the cooperation to reduce wastewater pollution, improve control, standardize and approve types of chemicals used for washing and processing wool and cashmere, stabilize operations of internal control laboratories at factories, and take measures to cut-off water supply of factories that do not meet up with standard requirements.
