Many countries around the world are increasingly ensuring human rights and environmental requirements for foreign trade and business operations, and their supply chain laws.
Mongolia’s cashmere industry has also established a Tariff Agreement with the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association, the Mongolian Light Industry Workers’ Union, and the Fredrich Ebert Stiftung of Germany within the framework of the goal of having a unified wage system that is consistent with international experience and is consistent with scientific work to make it.
In the framework of this work, a regular discussion was held on September 17, 2024, with the participation of textile industry employers, human resource workers, and management of the companies. During the discussion, many issues such as the challenges and problems faced by the industry in concluding tariff agreements, eliminating the information gap, empowering the managers of SMEs, unifying knowledge, making the names of workplaces conform to international standards, and introducing programs to introduce and promote the industry to the education system were discussed therefore participants divided into 5 teams and worked creatively by making a plan for further work.
In the past, stakeholders have collected and analyzed salary surveys from companies in the cashmere industry individually for each profession, provided information and presentations to the leading companies in the industry, provided more than 230 job lists and job descriptions in detail for each production stage and process, and created a national career plan. According to the classification definition, the working group has completed many tasks such as evaluating and grouping based on the knowledge and skill requirements, effort, responsibility, and working conditions of these occupations.
