RECYCLED CASHMERE WILL BE RELEASED IN THE NEW STAGE OF “DESIGN HUB”

Under the leadership of the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association, with the support of the Mountain Partnership project, a business incubator and accelerator for mountain and island countries, in cooperation with the design department of the School of Industrial Technology of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology the “Design Hub” project will be implemented in 2 stages.

The meeting was attended by the designers and inventors of Mongolian University of Art and Culture, MUST, MIU University and factories about the organization of the Hackathon festival in May and the “Design Vitality” festival in October, as well as the organization of trainings to improve skills and knowledge.

At the Italy-Mongolia Textile Technology Center under the Mongolian Wool Cashmere Association, a team of industrial designers and students work to produce 12/1, 26/2, 24/2 textile and knitting yarns from the raw materials that are recycled from industrial scraps and ends.

The project, which will last until November 2024, will strengthen design training and production, increase the skills of human resources, create new products from recycled cashmere, create unique differences through innovative ideas and designs, promote sustainable design, smart consumption and the circular economy also promoting and marketing eco-friendly cashmere products and distributing them to the public.

In addition, it is important to bring cooperation between educational institutions and industries to a new level.
