MEETING OF NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND STRATEGIES OF MONGOLIAN CAMEL
World Camel Day is celebrated on June 22 every year. As part of celebrating the World Camel Day for the first time in Mongolia, national consultation the Dairy Asia Partnership Secretariat, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization jointly organized the “Mongolian two-humped camel-development opportunities and strategies” was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on June 22, 2023.
At the consultation meeting, “Mongolian Wool Cashmere Association”, “Mongolian Bactrian”, “Camel Culture and Competition Association”, “Camel Culture” NGO, “Department of Food and Agriculture of Umnogovi Province”, “TESO Group”, “Ingen Erdene” of Bayankhongor Province participated.
During the event, MWCA manager Mrs.Tuya.Ts, gave a speech on the topic “Future goals for sustainable production of camel wool”, and Cashmere Holding, Sor Cashmere, Khanbogd Cashmere, Natural Textile Group, Mongol Textile and Sunshiro companies presented rare camel wool and yak plastic products.
