FIRST STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATION MEETING TO DEVELOP NATIONAL EXPORT STRATEGY FOR NON-MINING SECTOR WAS ORGANIZED
The Ministry of Economy and Development, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs jointly organized the “First Consultation of Stakeholders to develop National Export Strategy for the Non-Mining Industry” on June 29 and 30, 2023.
During the first meeting, the public and private sector stakeholders exchanged views on the challenges, market opportunities, and strategic development plans of Mongolia’s key non-mining export sectors, thereby supporting and diversifying the competitiveness of their main export sectors, access to foreign markets, and further implementation discussed the development of specific work solutions.
The consultation meeting of the cashmere sector was led by the international consultants of the International Trade Center (ITC) to discuss the problems faced by the cashmere sector, one of Mongolia’s main export sectors, and cooperation with international experts, sector associations, leading companies and government institutions within the framework of the stability of the textile sector.
