FIFTEEN WOOL AND CASHMERE FACTORIES HAVE JOINED THE “SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION RULES FOR THE TEXTILE SECTOR”
Fifteen wool and cashmere factories have joined the “Regulations for Sustainable Production in the Textile Sector” to create sustainable production in the textile and cashmere value chain, and the signing ceremony was organized vurtually.
The event was attended and given speeches by J.Bat-Erdene, Member of Parliament and the Chairman of the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association, M.Dondogdorj, the Head of the Light Industry Policy Implementation Coordination Department of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry, Pierre Yves Luca, Head of the EU Delegation and Gium Tuati, the Resident Representative of AVSF.
By acceding to the “Sustainable Production Rules for the Textile Industry,” factories will be obliged to improve their social responsibility and environmental performance. Reporting progress on environmental and social responsibility criteria is important to facilitate access to foreign markets.
Currently, in the rules the following companies have joined: Gobi Ltd, Cashmere Holding LLC, Blue Sky Cashmere LLC, Snow Fields LLC, Khanbogd Cashmere LLC, Bayalag Ulzii LLC, Sanshiro LLC, Uguuj Shim LLC, Munkhbumuud LLC, Goyol Cashmere LLC, Gobi Erdene Cashmere LLC, Leader Cashmere LLC, Nai Cashmere LLC. Silk LLC, Gurvan Sor LLC and Tenger Ertunts LLC.
