DISCUSSED ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PRELIMINARY TREATMENT FACILITIES AND IMPLEMENTATION WAYS.

On April 19, 2023, the workshop “Presentation of information related to preliminary treatment facilities” was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry and the Japan International Cooperation Agency JICA. The event was attended by more than 100 representatives of the MOFALI, MET, MCUD, WSASA, Water department and professional associations, as well as representatives of the leather, wool and cashmere industry.
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Millennium Challenge Fund of the United States of America are implementing a project to strengthen the capacity of government agencies implementing the “Industrial Wastewater Preliminary Plan”.
However, at the production level, the development of a preliminary plan for industrial waste water, the provision of preliminary facilities to enterprises and institutions, the introduction of technology for the reuse of purified water, and the development of manuals and guidelines will be implemented by 2023.
Eurokhan LLC, made a presentation on the above tasks, working with professional associations and manufacturers to create different levels of options for each production category, select and implement preliminary technology, and make recommendations suitable for the industry.
During the workshop, the Executive Director of the Mongolian Wool Cashmere Association Altantsetseg.D, gave a opinion on the issue of industrial waste water and preliminary facilities in the wool cashmere industry. Today, the textile industry is focusing on environmentally friendly, socially responsible, sustainable production, reducing wasteful costs, and creating a reasonable use of water and electricity at the production level. In the cashmere industry, it is no longer possible to enter the foreign market without engaging in environmentally friendly production. The preliminary plant problem is not only an environmental problem, but also a sustainable business development problem. First of all, the sector needs a coherent policy and regulatory environment. The government should not monitor, impose fines, or close the doors of the factory, but provide information to the manufacturers, solve the violations of the standards together, and find an optimal solution. In addition, it is a question of financing and tax relief. Creating economic incentives to encourage and support industries that are working with initiative and leadership to create sustainable or green financing, there are few professional full-time employees responsible for the operation of small-scale treatment plants, therefore, organizing training to empower them, studying international experience, providing consulting services, also emphasized that it is necessary to support the regularization and improvement of internal control laboratories of factories and to pay attention to the empowerment of employees.
