AUDITS HAVE STARTED IN FACTORIES THAT ARE IMPLEMENTING THE STANDARD OF SUSTAINABLE TEXTILE PRODUCTION
The MNS 6926:2021 standard “General requirements for sustainable textile production guidelines” was developed and approved by the Mongolian wool and cashmere association in 2021 as part of a joint working group of industry analyst and consulting engineers with the support of the Step Ecolab project. To develop sustainable production and implement the requirements of approved standards in production, qualifies experts of the Certification body of the Mongolian wool and cashmere association have begun to conduct audits on wool and cashmere factories that have joint voluntarily.
The audit is conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Sustainable Textile production standard, and the first 10 companies that received the highest evaluation according to the criteria will be represented by Step Ecolab and will participate in the international “Premiere Vision” exhibition to be held in Paris on 5th-7th July 2022 with the support of the project.
As of today, companies such as Cashmere Holding, Nans Cashmere, Leader Cashmere, Munkhbumuud LLC, Uujin LLC, Uguuj Shim LLC and Snow Fields LLC have been audited. The audit is ongoing.
