A MEETING WAS HELD TO PRESENT THE RESULTS AND SIGNIFICANCE OF THE TARIFF NEGOTIATION

The Mongolian Wool Cashmere Association, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation of Germany, and the Mongolian Light Industry Workers’ Union are made a working group since May 2023 to create the first standard model of the social partnership tariff contract in the cashmere industry.

During this period, we have successfully completed the project of introducing a wage system based on job descriptions and skills for more than 150 jobs in the industry.
The working group introduced the need, results and importance of establishing “Social Partnership and Tariff Agreement” to the administrations and related staff of Gobi, Cashmere Holding, Khanbogd Cashmere, Blue Sky Cashmere and Goyol Cashmere companies.

By establishing a tariff agreement in the industry, will bring the positive changes in the promotion of Mongolian cashmere in the world, by labor value aligned with the level of skill and qualification of the employee, creating a stable production that respects human rights, improving labor discipline, and creating an optimal integrated wage system to limit the movement from one factory to another, in the promotion of Mongolian cashmere in the world market.
