MONGOLIA CASHMERE INDUSTRY COMPANIES SUCCESSFULLY PARTICIPATED IN CHINA QINGHE EXHIBITION
By the invitation of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce for Food, Nature and Animal Products (CFNA), the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association and representatives of more than 40 cashmere companies successfully participated in the Qinghe International Cashmere Exhibition held in Qinghe, Hebei Province.
During the exhibition, a joint China-Mongolian cashmere conference was held, where the current and future development trends of the cashmere industry in both countries were discussed and ideas were exchanged for further cooperation. In 2014, the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association signed a MOU of cooperation with this chamber, since then actively cooperating.
Mongolian cashmere industry representatives visited Weilisi, Hao-Li, Zhaoyou, Yutong, M’oro and C2M Smart Knitting factories to learn about equipment and production experience. Also visited the Qinghe Cashmere Fair and Fashion Show, which has been held since 1994.
In Qinghe, known as the “Cashmere Capital” of China, 6,500 tons of cashmere are processed and produced annually, supplying 65% of China’s cashmere and 40% of the world market. As of 2022, China’s cashmere industry employed 70,000 people, with an industry revenue of 37 billion yuan and an annual growth rate reached 16.5%.
