THE FIRST MEETING OF THE NATIONAL EXPORT STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT WORK GROUP HAS BEEN ORGANIZED
On April 27, 2023, the “Technical Assistance Agreement for the Completion of Stage II of Mongolia’s National Export Strategy” signed with the International Trade Center (ITC). The members of the working group responsible for ensuring the implementation of the agreement, monitoring, evaluating performance and supporting the approval of the national export strategy have held its first online meeting.
In the working group approved by the order No. A/133 dated April 5th, 2023, included of the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, Mr. Bolorchuluun.Ts, Head of the policy and planning department of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, Mr.Erdenesaikhan.Ya, Head of the Small and Medium enterprises by Department of the government implementing agency, Head of the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr.Ulziisaikhan.G, First Secretary Mrs.Zolzaya.D, Executive Director of the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association Mrs.Altantsetseg.D, Executive Director of the Mongolian Meat Association Mr.Batsuuri.N, Export Development Project’s Export Support project coordinator Mrs.Dulguun.B, EDT project officer Mr.Batbold.L and others.
At the meeting, the issue of choosing the priority sectors of the national export strategy, its solution and results, and confirming the selection of the six priority sectors by summarizing the opinions of the stakeholders was discussed.
The next task of the working group is to organize the first public-private sector’s consultation on the National Export Strategy in June 2023
