SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTED THE SUSTAINABLE TEXTILE PRODUCTION AND ECOLAB PROJECT
The closing ceremony of “Sustainable textile production and ecolab” project with the collaboration of AVSF, Mongolian wool and cashmere association, Mongolian pasture users group, Sustainable funding association was organized in 27th October 2022.
In the result of the project, the MNS 6926 2021 standard was approved which efficient on the improvement of the export of traceable, certified and eco friendly products which are develop the wool and cashmere industry sustainably. Due to the standard approvement, the specialists of Certification body of Mongolian wool and cashmere association was attended in Mongolian agency for standard metrology and international textile standard GOTS training and prepared the teachers. Moreover, organized the 29 training to 517 engineer and technicians of the industry and 1145 hours consultant service to 18 factories to improve the knowledge of certification and sustainability of wool and cashmere producers due to MNS 6926:2021 standard. Therefore, with the aim of expand the scope of Certification body of Mongolian wool and cashmere association, promote the sustainability and introduce the collaborating organizations to the foreign customers participated in “Premiere Vision” exhibition in Paris with the representatives of around 10 companies and professional associations.
In the opening ceremony, The Member of Parliament and President of Mongolian wool and cashmere association, Bat-Erdene.J, Member of Parliament Dorjkhand.T, The Ambassador of the European Union to Mongolia Ms Axelle Nicaise, The Ambassador of the France to Mongolia Mr Sibastien Surun and State Secretary of Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Jambaltseren.T are attended and gave a speech. During the closing event of the “Sustainable textile production and eco-label” project prepared the area to introduce the results of each of the four components of the project implemented in 2018-2022 and Ts. Tuya, manager of the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association, made a presentation about the achievements made in the 4th component of the project also the guests were shown the eco-friendly and eco-design fashion show of the students of MUST, and the fashion collections of Hanbogd Cashmere Ltd., which won the best Grand Prix award from “Wool and Cashmere Expo 2022”.
