TRAINING TO IMPROVE SKILLS OF ENGINEERS AND TECHNICAL STAFF OF THE WOOL AND CASHMERE INDUSTRY HAS STARTED
With the support of the “Sustainable Textile Production and Eco-label” project funded by the European Union, a series of trainings on “Production of environment-friendly products combining with science and design” has started at the Textile Technology Center of the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association.
To improve the skills of engineers and technical staff of the cashmere industry, a series of courses, such as “Reuse of residues and wastes from each production process”, “Possibilities of recycling waste materials”, “Blending and dying”, “Production of spun-yarns with special color and texture”, “Making a combination of science and design products (hats, scarves, tank tops, etc.)”, “Knowledge-based design”, “Design development and marketing”, and “Audit”, will be organized for 17 days.
The first training was conducted by D. Batbayar, a teacher at the School of Industrial Technology, Oyunchuluun, a teacher at the Research, Development Institute of Light Industry, Zaya, a teacher at the Zero Waste Club. At the combined theory and practical training, engineers and technicians of Gobi, Cashmere Holding, Khanbogd Cashmere, Sor Cashmere, Natural Textile Group, Buyan Cashmere, Mongol Textile, Govi-Erdene, Goyol Cashmere, Ogoj Shim, Nans Cashmere, Sanshiro, Gurvan Sor, Negun Cashmere, and Blue Sky Cashmere had participated.
