MINISTER OF FOOD, AGRICULTURE, AND LIGHT INDUSTRY KH. BOLORCHULUUN MET WITH CASHMERE INDUSTRY REPRESENTATIVES
On September 15th, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Kh. Bolorchuluun, Member of Parliament, President of the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association J. Bat-Erdene met with the management of the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association, Gobi, Cashmere Holding, and Khanbogd Cashmere.
During the meeting, parties exchanged views on issues facing the industry, such as technical regulation of scoured cashmere, exemption from value-added and customs duties on wool and cashmere factory equipment, increase the import duty of 20-30 percent on domestically produced spun yarns and similar products, difficulties faced in the implementation of the VAT law and the human resources of companies.
In his speech, during the meeting, the Minister of MOFALI, KH. Bolorchuluun, mentioned cooperation focusing on creating a legal and tax environment for the wool and cashmere industry. Therefore, he emphasized that there is an opportunity to develop the sector by stabilizing the income without lowering the price of cashmere that manufacturers buy from the herdsmen.
