WORKING GROUP MEETING FOR EXPORT OF NON COLD-CIRCUIT PRODUCTS TO CHINA.
Approved by order A/222 of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry, the working group held its first meeting to export bran, non-cold-circuit wool, cashmere, and leather products by container through the dry port of Erenhot, China, during the covid-19 epidemic.
A working group consisting of executive representatives of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mongolian Customs General Administration, General Agency for Specialized Inspection, National Road Transport Center, General Veterinary Department, Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association, Mongolian Leather Industry Association, Flour Manufacturers Association, Mongolian Farmers National Association met to discuss the implementation plan and exchanged ideas.
The Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association has put forward a proposal to prohibit the export of “bag” or in other words, intermediary companies that have no factories and to give the rights only to national factories. Further, a proposal to certify the quality and standard for exported products was suggested as well.
In the future, within the framework of the import criteria of China, when exporting wool, cashmere, bran, and leather products in containers to China, the Mongolian side will improve preventive infection control, carry out quarantine and covid tests in detail, monitor the outer and inner packaging of products and ensure its implementation.
