ON MARCH 3, A TRUCK CARRYING 20 TONS OF CASHMERE FROM ULAANBAATAR ARRIVED IN ITALY
A truck loaded with 20 tons of de-haired cashmere from Ulaanbaatar on June 3, 2021, arrived in Biella, Piedmont, Italy, the center of the Italian wool and cashmere industry on 22nd of March.
This year, Khanbogd Cashmere will supply more than 40 tons of “Mongolian Noble Fibre” certified de-haired cashmere not only to these Italian companies, but also to a well-known British cashmere producer by land transport.
Mongolian Ambassador to Italy Ts. Jambaldorj, head of the cashmere buyer Colombo and Falconeri company and “DSV” Customs warehouse attended the handover ceremony of the first cashmere transported from Mongolia by land to the largest “DSV” customs bonded warehouse in Italy.
During his visit to Biella, Ambassador Jambaldorj met with Italian cashmere and wool producers and exchanged views on ways to further increase the export of Mongolian de-haired cashmere to Italy and the European Union, which is the sole producer of about 40 percent of the world’s raw cashmere, to facilitate transportation and logistics and to enhance organization of risk insurance.
