THE MEETING HELD WITH THE AMBASSADORS OF MONGOLIA TO THE UNITED STATES, CANADA, SWEDEN AND JAPAN
Today, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mongolian Ambassadors to the United States, Canada, Sweden and Japan, their Attachés, Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association officials, and representatives of Gobi Corporation and Kashmir Holdings had an online meeting through the Mongolian Embassy abroad. The meeting was dedicated to identify target markets for wool and cashmere products, seek an international market through its certified quality and standards, and expand business activities.
The participants agreed that the sector aims to promote products which certified by “Mongolian Noble Fibre” toning in the specifics of the targeted country, to update the embassies abroad with the information on the Mongolian wool and cashmere sector every three months,to highlight the benefits of Mongolian cashmere products which is produced from ethical, socially responsible and sustainable sources, to empower women and lead them to economic freedom.
Regarding the meeting, the parties agreed to create its own platform in the rapidly growing online market in the United States due to the pandemic, to open a shopping center in Hokkaido, the coldest region of northern Japan and promote it through its animation, to sign a cooperation agreement with the Canadian Embassy, and to develop a work plan in the near future based on specific event proposals, such as a match-making meeting in Sweden etc,.
